requesting a how-to?

hey,
this is probably in the wrong place, i thought there was a place to request how-tos. Can anyone do a how-to on prepping the antenae to be shaved (i.e. removing pieces so it wouldnt take so long.) is it possible to take that stuff off and put something there to cover any hole? i realize a shop could fill it, but can anything be put there instead? thanks for any replies. please, no smart ass remarks.

you mean you want to remove it totally from the top ! why ?

it's done basically for looks. so everythig looks smooth. it's pretty easy to remove the antenna. just unscrew the base on the roof, disconnect the antenna lead from the radio, and then pull it all out.

to fill the hole, check the "how to fix rust holes" how-to. it has some info on filling holes and smoothing them out
