Knob on left below steering wheel

What is this for? It is a black knob with an arrow on it and pulls out 2-3 inches then retracts automatically. Can't be a choke cuz you can't set it in a fixed position.

Martik, they're lying to you. If you pull on it and push it down, the front passenger seat will be ejected like in "2 Fast 2 Furious." I was just kidding. It's the steering wheel tilt.

Like everyone else said, it's to adjust the steering wheel. It took me about a month to figure that one out when I first got my Accord.
