I have recently got tha APC h4 conversion kit. I have noticed that when i have them on i kinda smell a weird burning smell. Not melting but like they are too hot. Any one expierence this problem? I have stepped up my fuse size also. Could that be it?

trace the smell... that is the first thing you have to do, and it will make fixing it easier
i wou ld say that you're pulling too much current and something has a short in it, causing it to overheat

Are you talking about a burning smell INSIDE the car? I had the same thing because my conversions came with 90/100W bulbs. even though I calculated that I had plenty of capacity at the fuses and relays I guess the wiring was a bit thin. I switched the bulbs to 55/60W and have had no further problems. If you read some of the bulb site FAQ's (Hella, Midnight Moose) you will see that you really don't get much more light from the 80/100's anyway, and you just end up with a shorter bulb life.

I got 100/90w bulbs is that to high? Could the smell be that i have 30 fuses in place of the stock 15's

If your fuses were blowing with the 15's you should NEVER put in a higher amp fuse. that is just asking for problems. The fuses are there to prevent the wiring from carrying higher current than design. Like I said, the 15 amp fuses and headlight relays can handle the draw from the 90/100W bulbs but it seems to make the wiring a little hot somewhere, thus the smell. I am not sure what this might do long term. I went the safe route and lowered the wattage on the bulbs. Did you know that the halogen headlights that came with our cars were only 35W on high beam?
Whatever you do, DO NOT keep the higher amp fuses in there.
Take it easy.
IF you were blowing 15,s and now you have 30's in there the smell is your wire insulation cooking off. I suggest you find the short that was blowing the 15 amp fuses or enjoy watching your car burn by the side of the road one day. Hopefully you dont kill anyone.:flame:
Accord has been replaced with a 2004 Solara SE Sport with 3.3 VVT-i V6...man does that car move...

The 15s i had in there didn't blow. I read some where that you would have to step up your fuse size when adding "city lights" and "hyper whites." I guess they were wrong as hell!!
