I'll give you a free one since you are new...
If it is stock, you have an A20A3:
1988-1989: 120 hp (89 kW) @ 5500 rpm & 122 ft·lbf (165 N·m) @ 4000 rpm (12 valve)
That is the most powerfull USDM engine (and so you don't have to ask, USDM = United States Domestic Market.) that the 3gz came with.
I believe the most powerfull 3g engine is the JDM B20A found in the 1986-1987 Non-us Prelude, Accords, and Vigors. This had 160hp.
As for a swap, ALL 1986-89 accords shard the same A20 block. I believe the 86-87 LXi's had a 9.1:1 Compression Ratio, and the 88-89 LXi's had 9.3:1 CR.
So if you want another engine, save your old one to savage parts from and just swap long-blocks with any 86-89 accord.

There is no direct swap avaliable for our Honda's... If you are good at fabrication and automotive, you can put anything you want in there.
yeah also this engine has almost no aftermarket...best you can do is like headers, intake and exhaust.
You neglected camshaft, camgear, and intake manifold.
As the OP is looking into, a swap is the only reasonable way to make more power.
Buy a JDM B20 and have it rebuilt. Call it a day.
will a v6 fit in my 88 accord lx. and what do i need to do about efi, are there kits i can get to change over to efi for the v6. where would they be at.
