    lol

    Thats a great idea

I think we should keep actively discussing all aspects until Jan. In Jan we can start making the "concrete" plans that will hopefully be finalized by Mid February at the latest (if not earlier) so that we may all reserve hotels with a good 2-3 month advance.

VA beach is a good 13 hr drive for me but Im all for it if it will give the northern guys more of an incentive to show up.

I figure we would need at least 15 cars to consider this meet a sucess, which I think we can achieve if we all plan ahead a little.

You know....file those income taxes early so that we all got money. lol

realisticly the average remains on about 200 for 2 hotel nights and money for activities. Depending on how far you are that number could go up alot because of gas. Me myself would probably waste about 400 in gas round trip.(probably more though)

On one thing we really need to get settled is the BBQ park location as that might cuase problems if there are certain rules at certain parks about it. SHouldnt be a problem but you never know. Plus a big group for say karting etc would also need a good advance I would think. (month+ I think)

Most karting places want a week in advance, but if we want a set date we will want to set it up earlier than that.

I think maybe now we should include the 2g/3g lude and 1g teg guys. I think in this case, 2 heads are better than one. I think we can tell them what we were thinking, and see what they think.

I think we should EASILY get 15 cars. From what I'm hearing, we will have at least 6 3geez, and remember 3rd gen ludes are pretty numerous.

Re: Possible big east coast meet???

Well, I talked it over with the misses and she's down for the trip. She even offered up using our taxes for funds. I'm guessing somewhere in the $400 range for gas round trip as well. I don't know 2dr, you live about 4hrs west of me, do you think this is a fair estimation? I definitely agree we'll need concrete dates by the middle/end of January, so we can get a decent deal on hotel rooms. So barring some major unforseen event, I'm in. Now do I finish up the stuff I want to do to my 3rd gen, or do I dive right in to the 2nd gen lude and try to get it ready for the trek?

Think of it this way. I average about 400 miles per tank, at 1200 miles, thats 3 tanks. 6 tanks back and forth, which is roughly 35 bucks a piece, thats around 210. Not too shabby. its actually closer to 1400 miles, but you get the drift.
