Custom Trunk/Interior/Intake
Hey how is it going, i have finally been able to register to the site so now i want to show the 2ndgenguy my ride. i saw that you did your trunk so i thought i would like to show you mine. all of the work i did myself. im from San Diego and my car has 223500 miles on it but runs strong. bought the car for 100 dollars put 400 to fix. the rest just came out of my pocket and dedication to bring back the life of the car. went through many stages of stereo system set ups to finally get the right one. installed 3 tft 7" screens in the headrests as well as the passenger visor( use this as the ps2 tv) also installed two 6x9 in between the 61/5 speakers underneath the rear window. also custom installed two additional 6x9 in the front driver and passenger door panels where the 5 1/4 speakers use to be as well as two tweeters. i re carpeted the head liner and vinyl spray painted all of the interior except for a few pices( waiting for the black carpet from ebay before i finish everything else) i got the rear seats reapohlstered in tijuana for 200 dollars. genuine black leather great. also put an 86-89 prelude intake on cost me 40 bucks off ebay. better than buying a new air filter. but so far i have a bit of a way to go.
Things i need to do before completion: Reapholster front seats in black leather install carpet find bumber from junkyard get car painted same color finish off the 2nd half of trunk with almani 4 channel Its pretty much a hood rich vehicle not really into ricing it out just want it to look clean, unique and with a touch of DUB influence. please let me know what your opinion is and what do you think else would suit my ride. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re: Custom Trunk/Interior/Intake
Holy LCD screens batman!
![]() I like where you're going with the trunk. Big stereo but nice and tucked away. I think the wheels will look great once they're tucked into the fenders nicely. Your car is in great shape. Most of the SEi models I've seen are trashed. You're blessed (or cursed depending on how you look at it) with a unique engine too. I bet she's pretty quick! I think the black leather seats would look great. Are you doing a full black conversion? Always wanted to see that! And props for keeping with that color outside. I love that brown on the old Accords because it's a color that won't work on new cars, but looks great on our cars! Good luck and keep us posted with how it all goes! |

Re: Custom Trunk/Interior/Intake
Yea i got an alarm as soon as i got tv's, didnt want them getting away with out a fighting chance, but yea thanks for the comps, shes pretty quick but i try not to push her so often, every once in awhile, she gets up and floats. the tint is coming. i've been wanting to drop it but im not sure. you guys know more then me, what springs should i use, are there any i can use from a different gen. i was thinking i could cut them then put them back on but dont want to take the risk. please let me know what i can do about the drop. thanks

Re: Custom Trunk/Interior/Intake
You can order springs from a company in England called Spax Springs. They're the only ones left that I know of. Eibach made a Pro Kit, which are no longer in production, and I have the only set I know of (Thanks messy!) and B&G Springs might still make a set, but I'm not totally sure, since the distributors don't seem to have them anymore. You can cut them and see how it goes (I'm curious myself), and if it's bad, spring for the Spax springs or you can always throw a stock set back on there.

Re: Custom Trunk/Interior/Intake
I'll be honest. I think you got a real sweet car but now... it looks kind of unfinished
The LCD screens fit badly in the headrests. It needs some kind of finishing trim around them. The headliner is very nice however. I think the rims are too big for the car too.

Re: Custom Trunk/Interior/Intake
Looks great.
I'm not a fan of large rims, but maybe the rims just look too big without a set of larger disk brakes to fill in the void, plus the skinny spokes don't help either.
