Rebuild
Ok, I'm rebuilding a '86 Prelude Si. It had 278,000 miles, but it still had plenty left if it hadn't spun a bearing. I've decided to put a little bit of money into it rebuilding and making it better, I'm not looking to pay a fortune. I starting with the basic stuff, headers, reman. crank, pistons and rings, rods, and probably porting the head too. Oh, and a tranny rebuild for the 5-speed too. Thinking about shaving the head a few thousanths. I've helped buddies rebuild some V8's, but this is my first solo rebuild. I'm looking for help on where the best places are to find these. Can I get forged internals? Can I buy oversized pistons if I bore it, and is it really worth boring it? Also, what is the flow on the stock injectors? How much flow can I go before it's too much? I don't know much about the head, is it something that I can tackle on my own? Is there anything else that I can do? I need help.

Re: Rebuild
I have only seen forged internals before on thirdgen preludes. If preludes are your questions, you should check out the following forums:
http://www.preludezone.com/ http://www.preludepower.com/forums/index.php? As far as the head, you can really damage it if you dont use a flow bench, i would leave it to a good machine shop. The heather can be custom made or bought on ebay or craiglist( as the rest of the parts)Good luck

Re: Rebuild
Actually, your 86 Si has the A20A3 motor in it... so all your info can be found here on this site. Everything that applies to the Accord LXi motor will apply to yours, but you won't find any of that info here in the 2geez section, since the A20A3 only came in the 3g Accord.

Re: Rebuild
Yeah, I think it is a A20A3. Is there anything I can get for it, like forged internals? Pretty much the only thing I can find are cast alumn. from Summit Racing.
