Your car is looking great! That bumper needs to be straightened tough. And yeah, is normal that it sticking out that much, is the only ugly part of the early Accord for my taste, thats why i made a custom bumper for mine.
I have the carpets too (new), not sure about the color tough..i think i sold out all the black carpets, but i should check anyways.

I think you are missing a piece of plastic that goes under the bumper kinda between the bumper and grille. It makes the bumper appear to not stick out so much. Or you could shorten your bumper up.

I've heard rumors about some plastic thing... Maybe 1GCustomAccord have that plastic part?

Haha, and yes, carpets would be nice if you find some black/gray ones =)
Bumper is going to be straighten out, I just have to figure out how to do it.

Amazing! The Apron, FR Bumper P/N 62540-671-010, is in my parts list (4 in fact), but i didnt see the part in my warehouse, in fact i dont remember having that part, maybe i should update the list or search under all the other parts . I will let you know if i find that.

I love the color, great work!
If I find a 1G I want to paint it orange and black... or all black.

Too bad Honda hasn't brought back this classic look like Dodge did with the Challenger or Ford did with the Mustang, I just love how the hood sticks out and the front end angles back towards the tire.

Looking gorgeous, that paint & the interior looks well worth the effort.

Those sure are wild seatbelts & retractors, ours having been old-style "static" manually adjustable at the back.

Aside from the plastic covering trim between the bumper and body there are also metal panels to support them (& the frt grille), the front one being bolted on while the rear one is normally welded to the body, I can't spot those in your photos either.
They can be very rust prone with the plastic holding mud against them, especially if their paint has been damaged by impact.
