Whats up guys? I'm new to the forum but not to cars or Hondas. I have a 93 eg8 civic and will be getting a 3g Accord from one of our customers at work(I work at a NAPA) for $200.

My friend has an 86 LXI Accord we are working on right now.
Any way, i know quite a bit about cars. I have taken auto tech and auto body classes and have been around cars my whole life. My dad is one of the best techs ever and im not just sayin that because he is my dad, he really is. My uncles own an engine shop that I worked at for a while too. I don't claim to be the best at anything but if anyone thinks I can help let me know and i'll do my best. I will post pics of the project as soon as possible.

I missed that part. I thought his was the '86, so I neglected the coupe.

Wow what a reponse thanks guys. Yeah my friends car and the car I'm getting are both sedans. I just went to look at the one i'm getting today and it looks pretty good, only one small rust spot (just minor surface rust) and a dent in the door. Interior looks good and it has almost new tires on it. It is a lx with 14" alloys which is nice too. Anyway thanks for the great welcome and i will post pics of both cars soon.

Thanks. Yeah right now I just need to get the car on the road. I'm gonna have to rob the wheels off it and run them on my eg8 for now cause the tires on it are shot, haha. I should have the car by the beginning of the year and hopefully driving it by February. It doen't seem to need much work really, just a little bit of a tune up i think.

HAHA yep. I'm kinda an audio enthusiast as well so i thought it was kinda cool. I have a pioneer premier head unit in my eg8 with some mb quart (pre-hifonics buyout German made) speakers which has spoiled him every time he rides in my car. Thats probably what he will get for that car now that the old mb quart guys are back as GERMAN MAESTRO. IF YOU ENJOY MUSIC LOOK INTO THEIR SPEAKERS THEY ARE INCREDIBLE. Will probably leave the eq in for show since the premier units do pretty good by themselves. Don't know if it even works cause the og HONDA radio doesn't work.

Oh yeah when i get mine i will probably put my system in it because it will be my daily more than likely. Gotta have a the kickin sound in the dialy, i'm too used too it. Every time i ride in anyone else's car its like "this sounds pathetic". hahahaha

Thanks A18A! yeah that bay was nasty!! The car had some pretty bad oil leaks that were previously ignored. NOT NOW!

clean car...i also see a sunroof visors...very rare for honda in 86

Thanks man. Yeah the only bad part is the sunroof leaks really bad and has ruined the headliner so we have to find one. We still have to look at the sunroof to see why it leaks. Hopefully it is just the drains are clogged up or something simple like that.
Anyway here is a pic of the car Im getting. Its from a phone and it doenst really show much but its all I have right now. I will post more when i get the car home.

Oh yeah! I forgot to mention a big bonus about this car. The people that had it spent like $1000 on a new a/c system at different shops and it still didnt work. When they took it to
the guy im getting it from he found out all that was wrong was the button on the dash. So for $200 im getting a car with a brand new a/c system and it also has essentially new tires on it!

Well plans have changed! I wont be buying the white car now. As soon as I get my tax money I will be paying off my bills, selling my eg8 to my brother and getting another car. But its gonna be something else I wanted for a long LONG time, a CRX!!!! wooohooo! I have wanted one forever and now I am going to be getting one for $500.

I am going to make a new post about my roommates 3rd gen though so Ill still be around.
