Hmmm, a smidge taller than 40series tires. Anyone running the 205/45-17 size? Jerren, are you thinking about buying some of them used? If you looking to buy new just get the 205/40's and not worry.

    .

dont get 45series tires for 17" wheels, they look funny on import cars, but on something like a camaro they look fine

a smaller tire should help because i have 17" by 7.5" rims with 205/40/17's and have no problems at all, and im also lowered to about 3/4" in the wheel well

I'm running 205 45 17 no problems here. Then again i also have camber kits.

Do your tires only rub in the back? If so you can roll the the fender lip up so the tire doesn't touch it.
