    Radiator upgrade after all

Well it's a damn good thing I got the temperature sensor working a while back. Radiator popped this morning.
Caught it in time and was only 2 blocks from home so engine should be ok. Was running just fine.
Pulled radiator and filled it up with water, blocked off lower hose mount and found a pin hole between vanes. Wasnt even the plastic that busted.
It made it 30 years though so cant be too upset.

Looking through some old threads, there is some consensus that a 94-01 integra rad will fit with only slight mount modifications. Was planning on it at a later date but it seems that has been pushed up on the time table lol.
    Good times.

It's always bittersweet when something breaks. I feel great about finally upgrading but damn is the bank account ever unprepared lol. As far as radiators I've been eyeballing one of these for years

God speed with the repairs and upgrade though, your ride is really coming together!

oh, and I will need a thermostat housing. It's being held together by prayers and an 11mm bolt right now.
It seems at some point the thermostat was changed and the threads were stripped in the housing itself. There was an 11mm bolt in there which made me question life cause ya know.... Honda dont use 11mm...Other bolt was a 10.
Well, housing is jacked but not leaking yet.

One of the bolts on my thermostat housing bolts broke off. The body of the bolt stuck inside while its hex head part detached. I ended up drilling through the stuck bolt and put a smaller stainless bolt \ washer \ nut to hold it in place and it works.

I also got the same aftermarket watertemperatuur adaptor between the radiator hose on the same spot as yours. Mine is not reading correctly though in comparison to the stock dash temperature gauge. Mine reads max 60 Celsius. Is yours reading correct Also, seems you have two wires attached to it,mine has only one

Have to ground the sensor. It grounds through the body of the sensor itself. The single wire plugged into the sensor is the positive lead. Normally it sits in the intake so it can ground easily. I just ran a wire from the body of the adapter to a random bolt up front. Reads just fine.
