I don't know much about the ASCOT versions of Honda Accord. But, I'm puzzled by the styling of the front end of your car. It looks like the front end of a 4th gen ('90-'93) Accord. Honda Ascot - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Ascot_Innova) says "The Honda Ascot is a compact sedan manufactured by Honda and marketed only in Japan from 1989 to 1997." And, as you can see the in picture at the Wikipedia link, the front end in not like the normal 3rd gen Accords, with their retractable headlights, or 4th gen Accords. So, are you sure your car is a "1988 Accord ASCOT"?

That front end is really messing with my head man.

Before my car got crash..front bumper, head light got damaged..
My car originally is fixed light...i want to replace with flip up..
coz i like it...but my father say maybe its hard to do..

Then just swap to 4gen headlight and hood..
But the front bumper from 1gen ascot..

LOL. Swapping a 3rd gen, fixed headlight front end was too hard, so you put on a 4th gen front?! That's so awesome!

Like i say at previous posting, my accord actually is fixed headlight..
Thats time i think want to replace with flip up headlight, but my father suggest why not we replace with 4gen headlight, more easy than change with flip up...
Then i say ok la... :)

At my country mostly 3gen is fixed light even jdm(like mine)..so boring look a like civic 4gen..heheheh..

I'm Malaysian as well :welcome:

Not feeling the front end though but I'm pretty sure a pop-up conversion is going to be much easier provided that you have all the parts. Jealous of that 5 speed B20A though!

Thanks bro...
I'm waiting for your post... :)

Just asking..will be fixed light convert to pop up...?
See totally different headlamp mount...

Last year i change my cluth speed..but so hard find the pressure plate..
Becoz all shop say mostly b20a using AT...very rare for MT..
Finally i got at halfcut shop...

I'm sure Your prelude also using b20a right? :)
Where do you live...?

Fixed light front end would swap to popups just fine as long as you weld in the new headlight buckets and swap the fenders and bonnet. Not any harder than shoving a 4g front end on really.

That B20A rarity is one of the reasons why I stayed away from them when I did my engine swap. And no I only have an A18A from an Accord. I had the option of going with an automatic B20A from a 3g Accord before but decided not to. I'm from Taiping btw. Do let me know if you're looking for Accord parts.

Did he do the work by himself? Fitment wise its even better than stock after almost 30 years  I don't think any newer front end gonna look right with the body style. Even the 4g looks a bit funny.

I had an 81 Accord which I've sold few weeks ago. My 86 Lude being the current car and I have handful of experience with 3g Accords and other pre 90 Hondas. Been messing around with these cars for over 10 years now.

Heres my Lude build thread from start to finish (err current??) if you can't find it: http://www.3geez.com/forum/classicprelude-com/88866-my-86-prelude-thread.html

Yess..he made himself..he is a mechanic..painting and engine..
That time had one 4gen for scrap at him workshop..
So All part i got free except hood and front bumper.. :)
You know i have seen some 4g swap to cl1..look more agresive..i like it..
But my dad say that front end not matching with 3g even 4g...heheheh..
May be everyone is not same interest.. :)

Thanks for your link...
Just finish read a few page...
