OK! hey everyone im new to the board. ive got an 88 accord lx-i
and ill be getting about $1000 to do whatever i want with outta my next paycheck. so heres my question, if YOU had $1000 to do whatever you could to make my car better what would you do?

Welcome. Hmmm..maybe you should think about spending money for parts to make the car go faster or make it look better.

I don't really care about looks so I'd go for a homemade cold air intake, header and 2.25" cat-back with dynomax super turbo muffler, H&R springs and Koni dampeners

that's close to $1000, maybe a little over

I'm assuming you already have decent tires.

awesome, it's amazing what you can do with 1000 huh? now how would i do a custom cold air intake, is there a howto page i could get a link to? and would that work with fuel injection, im new to car junk i feel dumb

someone a few days ago had a post up where he would make you a cold air intake for around $100. check back a few pages and i'm shure you'll be able to find something on it.
