my poor car

my car is not acting right...........ok, i was driving it this morning..its like 20 degrees here so its damn cold...i get in my car and i turn it on....it turns on smoothly..as usual, then out of nowhere im driving in town and my car dies? but heres thte wierd thing...it seems to only die when i down shift or come to a comlete stop.....does any of this make sence to you guys?

i did, an they were ok...and my nieghbors a mechanic ...but a little on the retarded side.....and he said that most likely 90% my spark plugs......im not sure about it...but im buying 4 new ones tomorrow

would that have a big affect on my stoping and going though?

Take the pulgs out first and check them.

also make sure the cap and rotor are good and the wires are on good.

oh and check the battery cable... make sure it's on there tight. clean off the connections if you have to... just be careful cause the terminals are lead.

ya, i did check my plugs and they were pretty bad.........so im gunna hit Napa tomorrow get some plugs and see if it fixes the problem

if the plugs don't do it, it could be your fuel filter, but that's more after driving at higher rpms/speeds.

My girlfriends car had the same problem take off the stock air box clean the carb and check the vacume lines she had 3 broken ones and her car did the same thing.
