Type R's are the shit, Type S's are ok and the Type E's blow (literally).

i have type S 12". and it is pounds good. i have one right now, i am gonna get two for more boom.
type R is for heavy boom, but if you want moderate boom than type S is the way. plus they are cheaper.

well, depends where u buy it. just go shopping around ur town in all the audio stores. i found that over here, the type R's are only around $20 more than the type S's.
and damn, moderate boom is just putting it nicely! haha, they're no phoenix gold titaniums, but those things can pound!!

MY friend was buyin 2 type S 12s at circuit city for $130 but when we got them from merchindise pick up the person didnt read the model number well and he got my friend the DVC type R s. The model # only has like 1 or 2 different #s in it

Alpine subs are bad ass i have two type R 12s and two profile mono amps when i bump them in my neighborhood my neighbors get all pist they say stuff falls off there walls
