Can someone please clarify?

I am replacing the tranny in my friends 86'lx.After not enough research i decided on replacing it with a prelude transmission,
sounded like a good idea to me.My confusion is to wether the
88' lude si tranny i bought for him will fit his engine.If not what are my other options?

no it won't. you need the trans out of an 86-87 si that is the same trans as the accord. except for the gearing!

Thanks for enlightening me,so anyone want to buy an 88' si tranny? Man i wish i had known that before,so as i sit now
should i find another lude tranny or replace the internals
of the accord tranny with those from an integra? Does the differential from the teg work in the accord tranny also or is just gearing?
