So i bought this ca5 (1988 accord four door lx) about a couple months ago. Was running fine until a couple weeks ago. The car randomly died on me one day then a few hours later started right up and ran fine. Then as i was driving the car just started to bog down and struggle to maintain a normal idle like it was struggling. If i just let it struggle it will just turn off. Then after that it will have a hard time turning on. Sometimes it turns on fine and sometimes it struggles. I was told to replace the fuel pump because that may be the problem. So i bought the fuel pump, both fuel filters, and the fuel pump relay. Ran fine no problems after that until the next day. Still same idle problem. Idk what to do or what is causing the problem. Now im hearing like a backfire every now and then. Any sugestions?
