Now here is some good work of a proper harness being made by my buddies over in NZ.
Designed with a mil-spec plug and Raychem Spec 55 wire covered with Raychem DR25 heat shrink which is some really good stuff I use here in my electrical lab. In addition they use a little bit of Kapton tape.

This sure is nice!

I wish I could convert my car harness with something like this

I do a lot of electrical stuff all day, doesn't look hard at all to do like this as long as you have the connectors, wire diagram, and materials. So who wants to send me their harness

If you made a MT subharness for us MT swap guys, that would be awesome. Unfortunately, I don't have one and have no idea what one looks like. I keep meaning to go to the junkyard and keep tearing a car apart until I find it but haven't yet.

You know, it's a project. It's on the list.

I wouldn't mind making wire harnesses , just gotta provide the original harness for the first one made and the connectors. I can take care of the rest

there is a jumper that goes in the harness that bypasses where the neutral safety switch would plug in, it's not so much of a sub harness on the manual cars, as the lack of the sub harness that would have gone to the auto shifter. It's in the electrical troubleshooting manual, it will show where the jumper plugs in

Thank you! I did check the ETM and see the diagram. I'll have to dig into one of these days and see what's what.

Like i mentioned before, just gotta provide the original harness (if possible to ensure proper fitment), wire diagram for the first one made, and the connectors. I can take care of the rest. Once one is built the others would be easy

Hi gp02a0083 .... I am rebuilding my 85 Accord ....original engine died with 340K on it so it would be smart to install a new engine wiring harness. Here's a picture ... I'll send it to you with the wiring diagrams .... How much would you charge $ More detailed pics if you want them

I'm already making a jig something like this for mine.

I posted about this month's ago and it sounded like no one was interested. I was thinking milli spec to the fire wall then to the obd1 jumper (Victor is making for us) to the ecu. I think the jumper post is a sticky here.

Here's what I've gotten done.
Just need to pin it to a board, wire and plugs.

Rywire MiliSpec harness is the same one. i called them 3 weeks ago and they said they could make one for our cars. but now that you have a 94 teg they will be able to just plug in. but they are like 600 bucks just for the harness and more if you want to make it custom.

this is exactly how we build the airplane harnesses at work, big piece of wood marked with all the wires, connection points, and some plugs to plug into. it's worked well since the 60's

ya no more accord so the b20 will just slide right into my teg. gonna do a small pnp and some cames. and do a basic rebuild and call it a day.

not really surprised at the price. WELL made harnesses are worth the cost IMO when the proper materials and craftsmanship is put in. I'm waiting for my materials to arrive in a week or so so i can make really nice harnesses like in the OP.

yeah I'm saving my money for one of the Rywire harness. I'm going to go with the budget harness but its still starts at 399.

I could do that for less if i had measurements and a layout. The cost here really isn't in the labor, but rather its in the quality of the materials used. GOOD mil spec plugs will run around $30 or so alone. I use plenty of them at work and I switched my electrical department over to better connectors, the low end ones tend to eventually leak and the center guts become loose. Kapton tape is relatively inexpensive and works very well over a wide range of temperature and has excellent insulating properties.

So I just got my jumper harness back so now I want really get to work make a jig and start working on everything. I have come to the conclusion that the best thing to do seeing that you're add wires and get rid of some would be to Start fresh and make a mil-spec harness would be the best way to go in the long run. I would all make it pull and play. It's gonna take some time but I'll keep you guys posted

possible if connectors are supplied, i'd have to look up the pin out for the ecu intended for use and the accord's

i got the wire , shrink tube, kapton and all the other stuff, its just the pinout and the connectors i'd need. OBD0Driver seems more inclined about doing it, people don't like my price tag that comes with my work and materials.
