Ok Ladies and Gentleman,
I know I'm going to regret never getting to actually enjoy the dual DCOE setup on my hatchie and I'm going to regret ever selling it, but I think the time has finally come to let go. Anyone who has been around 3GEEZ longer than about 5 years likely knows of this car and how much time, effort, and disgusting amounts of money I've put into it. I am the second owner of this car, only second to my grandmother who bought it new in '89. I've owned it since '99, and in '04 I pretty much retired it and it's been sitting in a garage since then, other than when I pushed it out of the garage to tinker with it over the years, or to bring it to a meet once in a blue moon. About 6 years ago I finished the DCOE setup and fired it up. As soon as I got the car running, not even tuned, I shut it off and started doing the EDIS/MegaJolt conversion, which I never finished.
I'd like to sell EVERYTHING as one full lot, and do not want to part anything out.
The car:
'89 DX Hatch
repainted in '02 to GM pure white
The rear arches should be repaired, but the arch is intact, just some flaking above the rear molding and bottom of the 1/4. (I have one repair panel for it)
Dual Weber DCOE 45's.
Rowland manifold made specifically for the DCOE's on an A20 in a 3G (machined properly to accommodate the angle of the motor). [Rowland and I worked for months on this design and finally got it right. As soon as we confirmed it was a good design, he put them into his production product offering)
MegaJolt (still needs to be wired up) with Tercel COP's w/ leach wire for waste spark setup
Ford EDIS control module from an Escort (needed with the MegaJolt)
Stock crank pulley custom machined to remove both Power Steering and A/C pulley guides and a 36-1 gear machined to fit and mated to the pulley.
Golden Eagle cam gear
DC ceramic coated headers
P&P'd head
Some sort of mild/wild grind cam, but I can't remmeber
external carter 2020 fuel pump with fram cannister filter
A/C and Power Steering deleted.
F1 clutch and pp.
Power steering rack modified to a full manual (not just looped the line)
B&G 2+" drop springs
Koni reds on all 4 corners
Full SE-i disc swap (front and rear)
LX-i Rear anti-sway bar
Brembo Rotors all around
Hawk Metal Master pads all around
BFG red-coated braided SS brake lines
rear half of the interior swapped with a '89 DX Phoenix Red hatch to the factory off-black, including all panels and seats
LX-i (maroon) front seats
Custom headliner and door panels
triple-gauge single din insert
a handful of gauges, IIRC they're StreetGlow that go full black when off
Underside of dash has been gutted (no heater core or blower)
Swapped from Auto to stick in '00.
Custom clear corners
custom clear front blinkers
custom clear sidemarkers in the fender
15" wheels w/ 205/50/15's
...and with the project, you get all my spare parts I had hoarded for years including:
2 extra A20A blocks
3 (i think) extra PJ0 heads
a bucket of intake and exhaust valves, springs, retainers, etc.
extra cams for core or whatever you want them for
2nd gen prelude tranny (same housing as ours, but with much shorter gearing)
extra used clutches
extra sets of taillights
extra nib sealed beam headlights
spare front knuckles
armrest (at least one, maybe two)
lx-i/se-i center console (one definitely, maybe as many as 2-3)
extra DX rear bumper
extra rear metal trim piece under the taillights (white, DX)
and so many other parts
It's now 25 years old, and in the state of CT, after 25 y/o, it becomes emissions exempt, so you can just get it running and reg it without having to worry about passing emissions (which will definitely not be possible with the dual DCOE setup)
$2,500 for everything. I'd love to see this go to someone that will finish installing the MegaJolt and get this beast running like the monster it should be. The exhaust still needs to be fabricated, and the springs are tired. THIS IS A PROJECT. ...but a simple project that won't take very much time or money to get it back on the road. It will need to be towed, and you'll need to tow the trailer with a pickup, so we can fill the back of your bed (with all the extra parts)
