I can start the car but after 10 minutes or so it will turn off. Half the stuff on the car is new/replaced. I cant figure out why it shuts off.

Is it idling so slow that it stalls?

No it idles a little high but it calms down after a little bit. But the rpms wont move. I got it to run for 30 mins yesterday but it varies so much. Sometimes it will run for a little bit then.the car is not reading the rpms.

87 accord lx no rpms - YouTube (http://youtu.be/szNR67koba4)

10 second video of car dying on me. You will see that the rpms are 0. I just started the car about 15 seconds prior to video

It may just be my phone but your car doesn't sound right to me.

That video isn't very helpful. Can we get one from the engine bay?

87 accord lx still no rpms - YouTube (http://youtu.be/bNAEXmCrndo)

it sounds like crap in the video because of my phone but it doest sound that bad. But if you see something that can cause the cars rpms to not go up or if its a sensor

Hi there,

Long time not posting here but was checking the forum from time to time.

You need to fix your RPM reading first. The Fuel pump will shut down if there is no RPM signal.
The RMP signal for the tach comes from the coil, its the blue wire.
Change your coil if you have a chance and let us know if that fixed the problem.
