New to this forum, always loved honda/toyota. Toyota Trucks and Honda Cars FTW. (I own a 85' 4runner rock crawler)
Anyways found this BEAUTY on craigslist $1500 firm was the first to call him (original owner) and instantly met up with him with cash in hand lol...

JUST rolled to 160,000kms, thing drives like its brand new....

First things first I will be converting to 5-Speed (probably once the auto starts slipping...)
Would eventually like to see this thing lowered of course but I am in no rush I would like it done right. I'm new to the "Car" world as I've always built rock crawlers but I'm really excited with this purchase this thing drives like a damn Cadillac as far as i'm concerned lol.

Wow, you got this car in Canada? No rust, excellent body, what did they do drive this thing indoors all its life or something?

Lol I know right.. Garage kept for sure!
I pan on properly rust protecting the entire car, and I'm a master detailer so she will stay clean :)

Super nice car! Welcome!

Thanks guys, I'm looking to swap a manual tranny into this at some point. What tranny should I look out for?

So a few things!
I started to notice while under load (uphill etc...) I was getting a very noticable "pinging" noise from my motor. Blah blah, had a Honda friend tell me to check the distributor timing. It was off by a few degree's, corrected the timing put in 91 octane fuel and some lucas fuel additive and no more noise!

Now, I wen't to go change the plugs and once I got to the 2nd cylinder I go to loosen it off and it didn't budge. The dickhead that put them in last seems to have forced it in and what I think stripped it... WHAT NOW!?!?

See how this works for you.

If it is indeed stripped out, you will need to Heli-Coil it. If you can't, then you'll have to find a shop to do it for you.
