How do you take the manifold heater out? Is it even worth it?

Manifold heater? You mean, exhaust manifold heat shield? If you take it out, you'll damage the paint on your hood because of the heat.

Leave the exhaust heat shield on. The engine works better with hotter exhaust. The less dense hot air moves faster and improves torque.

If you're talking about the intake manifold, I'm not too sure.

Why did you want to remove it in the first place?

there are two lines that run across the manifold. one from the left and right of the carb. un hook them from the intake, nad put a straight line across the back of the engine to join the two sides of the main water pipe. this is nessesary when u do a weber conversion and it is a good source of gaining a few Hp when u live in a warmer climate, so ur carb isnt super hot.
