::bow:    If these engines have a cast iron block, they should be able to handle quite a bit of horsepower. I know that the bottom end of all these early hondas are bulletproof. I believe they were also a closed deck design. Most new hondas are an open deck design which makes the cylinders a lot weaker. does anyone know how much horsepower and torque they will produce with mods such as a new cam, headers, webber carbs, etc? why swap when you have a very strong engine design that can be upgraded right on the car.

now some of the crx engines can handle well over 400 horsepower, this is a bigger displacement engine then that. does anyone know if sport compact car has a website? I believe there was an article in there about this subject.

ys, KMS does have a n/a A20, pushing 13.7:1 compression, or something like that, w/ Kawasaki carbs and a completely reworked head. Check the Performace section for the thread about him.
