Okay, the other day i was playing with my flip ups and noticed that one motor can be slightly slower, and at one point i got one light to open up and the other to stay down, does any know how you could wire it up to flip just one light up while they are off, or seperately wire them so you can control both lights individually

the wink is awsome and i want to know how to manipulate it

it was me! Mwahahaha!

What i did is wired one of the motors through the foglight switch (Any On/Off switch will work). Then, you can turn that switch off, flip up the lights, but since only 1 motor is getting current only that one will flip up (or down depending on the previous position). then turn the on/off switch ON and the other headlight will flip.

Make any sense?

i know you can hit the little power butten beside the steering wheel kinda soft and get the lights to blink. it sounds like 1989se-i's idea would work, but wouldn't it be easier just to unhook the wire (thats already there)from one of them that goes to that butten, so when you push it only that one goes up?

Only 1 set of wires hooks up to that switch (3 total i think) and they split somewhere in the engine bay, and goto their sperate motors or sumthin. I was do that, but i couldnt find the wires

I'm pretty sure the wires run over the fender well on the drivers side and from the fuse box on the passenger side... not sure what the color is.

i know if you hit the undpown switch softly repeatly fast they will start floping up and down one by one, its kinda funny

as for burnin the motors up, isnt that what the salvage yard if for, stupid little parts you really dont have to buy new because no one cares if theyre new, id burn up 1 a week if it were possible.....lol

And if you can make your car into a pididle anytime you wanted, think of how many sex credits that would be. Have your chick in the passenger seat and hit the button and get sex. Great idea!!!

Or you could just take a baseball bat to the body right above the left/right turn signal. Just one little dent and the motor gets kaputt. Like mine :-(

I know this is an old ass thread.............but has anyone actually completed this.......I was thinking of giving it a shot..........putting in a switch for each light.....and somehow leaving it connected to the regular light switch.....so that the 2 new switches only control the motor and not the lights...............any more input?

can anyone find a wiring diagram for the headlight motor circuit? if you can email me i'll see if i can design something for makeing that idea work. ;)

mine does that all the time.. i just need to keep hittin the button...
it's fun at nitght time....
what you do is just have the parking lights on....
then get them to wink left and right
and pull the high beam lever....
you get two beams going up and down and it drives people nuts :)

yeah im an asshole...

i was at a car show and there were about 4 old corollas sitting together and they all had their light going up and down at different times constantly. i asked one guy how he did it and he said it was something about shorting it out or something. it was loud and he had an accent but i think it was something you do with the ground wire. but to do this your lights will both be going up and down all the time until you stop them.

and for what you guys are talking about, can't you just crank the knob on top of one?

I've done it too.

for a while it was funny to do but now it's like:rolleyes:

I was talking about being able to make the lights go halfway up and stay there, or a quarter of the way up however you want. I designed a circuit with a 555 timer ic. if you turn on the switch then push the headlight motor button, the voltage going to the motor turns on a time delay with the 555 of about a half second or so, then you have a normaly closed bosh relay wired in line with each motor power wire that turns off the motor when the light is only halfway up. this will cause the motor warning light to come on but that tells you that the system is on. if you turn off the system power switch the lights revert to normal mode. when you reconnect power to the lights like that they will cycle up then down to close. :smokin:

did any one ever do this
i was think maybe a switch for each light one like the push type and hook it up so when you let go it goes back down
if you get two of them and ethier take apart your car and find the wires or just get some 20 gage wire or something and hook it up to the lamp and then take it to your dash and hook up your switch it should work
get two of them bitches and then you can put it in the center console or something
i think this would work and i know its an old thread but it got a new view
