Wiring gauges

I want to put a RPM gauge in but I don't know what to wire it to. Help!!!!

were simple... there are four wires usually. 1 for power, one for ground 1 for light and 1 for tach signal. I am not shur what wire goes where, but i know that the power and light need to be to switched power not regular power. like wire the light to a switch or the dash light dimmer and the power (red) needs ignition power. the tach signal wire is green i think... not shur... just run a wire out to the coil or to the guage and make the stock one dead... or make two real working tachs

The RPM wire connects to the little blue wire in the distributor
