I was thinking the same thing. It's really hard to tell what it will look like without it being on the car.

All that I know is that I'm diggin' the front bumper a lot! :D

flamed89
12-19-2002, 06:24 PM
i love the front! not so hot on the back unless he puts duals on it! i hate it when there are two exhaust cutouts and one damb pipe. that realy looks shitty.

12-19-2002, 06:38 PM
hey how well do those sideskirts fit? Are they gonna hafta be severely modded to fit or are they worth the money? BTW I actually like the back BW bumper, it think it fits the lines of the car more than the front BW bumper does imo...

12-19-2002, 06:51 PM
hmm.. well I can get the mental image and I think it just does not fit. Its like the kit is wraped over the car and the car is drowning or something... no offence man. When do you think you will have it all on and painted?

Zwaag
12-20-2002, 04:14 AM
The kit is for the 4th gen accord. By the start of summer all body work should be done. And yes i did just set the kit on the old bumpers just to see what it might look like. BTW Thanks for the comments guys. Oh, I almost forgot, the sides will have to be shortened a bit.

bobafett
12-20-2002, 07:53 AM
come on guys... 90-93 tegra.... we saw the pics and it FITS... hm, imagine that, a body kit or at least a better looking stock bumper that wont jet out too far or be wayyyy too round/

anyway i just dont think it fits... but i still think its cool that 3geez people are starting to go crazy with new body kit ideas!

89AccordLvr
12-20-2002, 10:36 AM
cant really me a comment without it actually bein on the accord properly, but i say good choice on the front bumper , dont really like the rear unless ur doin a custom dual exhaust, and side skirts look fine.

89AccordNate
12-20-2002, 11:42 AM
Ew, thats ugly. The kit is to rounded for the car. The rear end looks to swollen..looks like someone kicked the car in the ass and it swelled up.

Thats an ugly kit for our cars, its bigger then the car!!!!!!

The small nose and the big front end looks like poo on a stick

Try again! ITs ugly!

Nate.

Zwaag
12-20-2002, 11:56 AM
Hey nate, screw you;)
The kit isnt actually on the car. It will fit better, I just quickly sat the kit on top of the other bumpers, just to see what it might look like. I do plan on having custom dual exaust out the back. Once again, thanks for all your comments.:super:

87DXHatch
12-20-2002, 03:10 PM
That kit looks absolutely horrendous, IMO. That front bumper is so big and fat, that it looks terrible. The rear bumper... good Lord... it's just an eye-sore.

I'm looking at those pics, holding my gut to keep from retching, and then it gets to the pics without the kit on them and I just go  "Wow, that is a really nice clean car, that in no way needs ruined by those eye-sores."

87AccordsterLx
12-20-2002, 04:23 PM
your car is in awesome shape body wise man.. if you were to spend that money on a nice drop (2.5in coilovers) and a CRX lip it would look soooooo clean. Get in on the cam regrind group by and by some headers... your car would be sweet as hell... the kit in my opinion... as I have said before... is just to big for the car. Sorry man.

87AccordsterLx
12-20-2002, 04:54 PM
Here are a few things that I think you should consider man... Trust us when we say that you should explore the 3g without a body kit.

These are quick photochops that I threw together...

i saw that blue car at the sport compact fall nats in etown..

http://www.jerseyrice.com/images/rice/etown/show21.jpg

and so i don't hear no flack from you guys, i don't consider the car rice. i'm doing a write up of the sport compact fall nats on my website, and put my logo on it. i just haven't done the write up yet, as i've been extremely busy and haven't had time to work on my site.

I dont think that any of us consider that car as rice.. i think it looks great... oh and thanks for the help with the kit color... looks much better then mine... :D The reason that i like the electron blue kit and not the other one is becasue the electron one is much thinner and it doesnt stick out that much... just my opinion though...

8ate8
12-20-2002, 07:04 PM
well i said that disclaimer cuz i had my 'Jersey Rice' logo on the pic, so i didn't want people yelling at me saying "omfg, how can u call that rice?" and whatnot...

Zwaag
12-21-2002, 01:34 PM
Mine should fit just like the electric blue accord's kit. Our kits are both for the 4th gen accord. Mine looks so big because I sat it on top of the existing bumpers so they are kinda pushing the kit out.

safeel
12-21-2002, 02:04 PM
i think it is a bit rounded for the 3g cos the 3g is all squared.
But once is on with a paint job i think it will look sweet, the only things is, u will have to get some BIG wheels to blend it in cos the bumpers are massive.

I love that blue car, and I like the last photoshopped pic.... the front end does look big, but in my opinion - its tight

that was always my favorite combo, the skyline front bumber with black wido side skirts. i am gonna try the 93 integra bumper and the 93 accord bumper to see which ones fit better. my car is not as square in the front as yalls so i think i will fit better, ill prob just buy a small lip for the rear bumper, prob like the one on the 94 accord ex do yall think the cure to tat bumper would go good with the curve to my car?

Ok I talked to the guy that is ganna do the work to my car today. He is extremely confident that he can do it . It's awesome because he claims it just as a hobbie and does it with no employees he has really cheap rates. For me it's $15 an hour. He estimates $500 for kit instalation and to fix the couple spots of rust. He'll get started in about 1 1/2 months.

You consider that car rice when your sporting some Kragen style wiper arms? I wonder if that skyline air dam is going to look completely out of proportion on our cars its got a large mouthed air dam and no intercooler to show off, you just going to have your radiator hanging in there or what??

The custom work will be credited for but the actual functionality and purpose for the kit will be absolutely pointless and will be a bit more ricey then that so called "Jersey Rice" :rice:

Can't wait to see it tho...

If it looks like the blue car looks then it will look sweet. The way I see it, if it doesn't mess with the lines of the car it will be ok.

now see, I'm thinking this... keep the front end, however it will look foolish with no HUGE ASS intercooler behind it... next up, you'll need to shorten it up a bit.... you should use the rear bumper that the bright blue accord has... it's sweet... and looks like it'll fit a bit easier... but whatever floats your boat... your kit looks like you wont be able to lower your car at all... it seems pretty tall

note to all those calling rice on the zwaag-
i personally think opinions a definately needed by why hate so bad? i think if you have a kit hate as bad as you want .. but you didin't pay 700 some odd dollars for it so just admire .. i mean you don't come up to some one and hate on them cause they bought a dc sports ceramic header instead of the polished one do you? i say don't hate on style unless you have style as equal .. or don't hate on speed unless you can beat them

zwaag-
as it goes for how the kit fits. when i got my buddy club kit for my 92 accord it took me a good solid week to trim and fit the kit and it sucks doing it. and even when the kit is on it will still look over sized and look unfitted .. nothing will help it more then a nice paint job and a set of wheels.. i also had the the trouble with the rear bumper seeming oversized so i equalled it out with a extremely large apr wing about 13in high (to most call it rice but females call it a race car) its not about how fast you are its about how many more females you can pick up compared to others. oh and extremely good choice on the skyline bumper thats my favorite.
