I'm a fan of the carbs, not for what they are, but for what they can be!

89 LX rock on:super:

...but then again i've never had/driven an LX-i, so I'm partial to the carb

lx-i would take it. LX could make it close though depending on drivers. but then agian, they both autos so i would say the LX-I would take it.

Get the LXI and do a 5 speed swap!

It all depends if you want to buy a WEBER or not. If not then go with the lx-i if you want to tune the crap out of the car then go with the LX. I love my 89 LX. I would get a 5 speed though.

The 89 LX I already have and I love it. My dad came down with an ad for an 88 LX-i said I should get it because it was dirt cheap, and use one car as a parts car. I am sticking with the LX I think, too attached to it methinks. Shouts out to Gabe and whoever else wrote in to Import Tuner - way to defend us guys.

Definitely go for the LX-i. Not to hate on the carbs, but LX-i's are just better no matter how you look at it.

LX i please you wont find many options for a carb that easy plus they have too many Vacums and stuffs that make it more complicated to do things on the engine, Imagin fixing one part on the engine and you brake a vacum hose or pull one and then cant find it. lol believe me it sucks lol Well peace out
