Are there such things as NON stock tail lights for the 3rd Gen Accords? Other than clearing them out by hand ( which usually looks like crap) I dont know what to do.

And do 88-89 tail lights fit into an 86?

Nope there is no aftermarket taillights for our cars an as for the 88-89 tails fitting 86 i don't know why but i heard on another thread that they wont fit it......

I really dont see why not, My mom has an 88, I have an 86, and aside from needing a new license plate holder area i dont see why it wouldnt fit. It is the same size.

Oh well, eh?

I think one day they might make some aftermarket tails for our cars. But the companies will have to see a huge demand for them. If they did make them I probably woudln't get them, but be nice if they showed some support for our cars. This board alone should show the support!!

You could always put JDM rear lights on your 86.
They will fit without any work or modifications.

They are the same as the Red car in the thread that is linked bellow.

I have a set for sale if you are interested.

Think they would look good on a silver 4 door, 86? I'm pondering that, not too sure though.

All and all, I like the 88 stock version the most... they dont have that ugly black plastic divider going through them.

One of my parking tail lights (by the license plate) likes to go off and on. Its not the bulb. I wind up hitting it to make it go on. Not sure what the problem is there.

Yes, they will fit, but you need to change out the trunk lid itself to get the lisence plate area to look right; also the lock on the lid itself is backwards to the 86/7 lid, so you need to change that out as well, and play with the lock rod.

Get a new trunk lid? Or just rip out the existing license plate black trim crap?

I dont want to get a new lid.

alright... I found the how-to from "yasu"something-or-other and found out that ya gotta buy the stuff that looks like the flourescent light covers in schools and crap... I would rather use a heat-gun than the oven.... I'm gonna make my corners clear like that too!

one of my lights likes to intermittently go off. Maybe I should think about replacing the whole tail light assembly.

Or not.

Or not. clean the inside of the socket and check the plug connections. also check the ground wire.
