Every winter ( we call 30 degrees lows cold in Tucson, AZ ) my car has this issue were it starts fine, but the choke stays closed so eventually my car dies. So all I do is clip a plastic pencap to keep the choke open, then drive to work. Now sometimes, it stays on high idle, sometimes it comes down to normal, 800 or so.

Last weekend, I read about Redline S1 fuel additive as a good product to use on carbs. So I tried it, what could I loose? I used the whole bottle, then filled up my tank.

Monday, drove for about 40 miles, with the usual cold start issues. Tuesday, Wednesday and Today it started like normal. No more issues, just like that.

Now I am skeptical about the additive being the reason my car now starts like normal, it was just a strange coincidence right?
