When I started my car today all lights came on but the oil light...I sat in it letting it warm up...I tried to turn on the heater it did not come on as well. When the car was really cold it had a rough idle and gradually got better as it warmed up. When I took off the heater kicked on. Hmmm....i'm at a loss for what that could be. Also, when I'm driving at night normal idle is around 800-1000rpm...with lights, heater on it shudders a bit when I come to a stop and dips to about 400-600 and bounces for about 2 sec back to normal before returning to a weak semblance of normal. Back to the oil light...when I got home I turned off the car and took out the key...put it back in and turned it until the engine/batter/seatbelt lights come on and the oil light did come on as normal....are all of these related? or just coincidence. Thanks for the help...this is a grrrreat board!

Check your Oil sensor plug and connector.
Check your Oil Level
Check your alternator's charging capacity at local auto parst store
Check your fuses, make sure they are all good.

I don't understand your question but if all you want to do is drain your system, there is a plug under the radiator and must be twisted off for the water to exit.
The bleeder valve close to the thermostat is for "bleeding" the system after you refill with coolant and water.
