I Live in California and I read the DMW law about engine swaps and emissions. I was wondering can I swap a D series engine in my 3g 89 lx-i. If I can what mods would I have to do.

No, you can't. Don't even bother trying. Geez, why would you want to swap in a SMALLER engine that what you got????????

Iwas thinking about D16Z6 from a '92-'95 Civic Si. I know it's only 3hp more than ours stock, but it has a lot of aftermarket parts to boost the hp over 200hp and they're smog legal

You can do a b16 motor and have it smog legal. Once you get it installed, you have to take it to the ref. and get all the paperwork on it to make it legal.

i am sure the d16z6 will power your accord, but!!!!!!! you will have to used the 91 si tranny so you can have the cable setu and your will have to use he place racin b series ount kit. the d series and the b series have the same mount set up but with all themoney your spending your better off just going with a b series engine

One of my mates has a CRX with a D16 with cams, inlet and exhaust and my accord eats it for fun.
