I'm gonna start to make mine one I get my valve cover done. I got my weber air intake on and I haven't checked to see if there's enough room for a strut bar. If there's enough room maybe I could use a LX-i strut bar. That would be nice and easy. I doubt it with my luck though. I'm going to do the measurements tomorrow after I check the junkyards for some good finds.

thats why i made the thread :lol because it doesnt look at all like there would be enough room for one. just testing my thought here hehe

I only wanted it for the adapter. I asked if I could just buy the adapter and they said no. I guess I'm the only that would pay an arm and a leg for something that I was too lazy to make. I made up for the laziness and finally got my 87' lx valvecover finally ready for chrome paint. Do you think this chrome paint will be ok on the valvecover. It's not high temp. paint.

i personally think u should get high temp paint. My guessis that the paint would do fine, but over time it would peel or fade. You wouldnt want that would you? naw...just get the high temp paint

I do have a high temp ceramic clear coat though. I have used the chrome and clear coat on the oil cap and it turned it a gun metal grey color. So I sprayed some more chrome paint on top to make it look good. I wonder if someone makes a high temp chrome paint?

i thought ive seen some at walmart...you might just check there. I think you should give it a try and test out something under good heated conditions... then do what you feel is nessasary :D

the oil cap gets pretty damn hot, thats a pretty good example...your going to need alot for the valve cover though..

I tell you what, we have the same cars. I think we should make the same one for both of us. I'll take some measurements and you take some too on what you think it should be. Oh crap you don't have the same setup as I do. Do you have Weber or stock?

You should get one it's really worth it. I still need to get someone to step on the gas pedal so I can see if the carb is open all the way. I keep forgeting to do that. Damit I had the chance today to when I installed my weber intake. It sounds so nice now. (like a FI with an intake.) I wish my girlfriend sucked like that intake.
