87 accord hood stuck closed ****NEED HELP ASAP PLEASE***

Hi there i just got an 87 accord towed to my place the other day and i opened the hood and it worked fine but the pull handle inside under the dash was feeling a little off, when i shut the hood it didnt shut right ( I thought it was because it didnt slam it shut hard enough) and i put some weight on it to close it shut. Went to go get some starter fluid and spark plugs to try to make this beauty run but i cant even get the darn hood open now. If someone could help me or direct me where to get help that would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Start by making sure the pull handle is properly attached to the cable under the dash. If it's broken, you may still be able to open it with the broken end of the cable. If the problem is under the hood, your options become more limited ...and less pleasant. I opened mine with a crow bar after my crash. It didn't matter, of course, because the front was already mangled.

Yeah the cable is attached, but there is some slack, i used a pair of pliers to pull the cable but nothing happened and it didnt help anything. at this point im willing to bust anything to open the hood lol
