WEll im in the mood for a new system being that i don't even have one yet so I realy like the Kickers.

2 12's Kicker Solarbarics
2 Kicker AMPS 500.2

Is that a good setup for bass?

personally, i like the infinity perfects... both smooth and loud... as for the amp, i'd prolly go with http://www.justamps.com/Amp_Pages/JBL/jbl_power.htm that line of amp, unless i could afford a PG titanium series amp

i wouldnt go with solobarics... maybe some infinitys or alpine type r's... then get a nice 1000 watt amp and you will be rockin!

What these people suggest are subs that are a LOT more for sound quality than for SPL.

Kicker makes good stuff. Those are the square subs, right? If so, those can get very loud, and yet still retain a nice amount of SQ. If you have a lot of money to burn, or just want to keep with Kicker, go for those Kicker amps. Otherwise I think the JBL 1200.1 or the Adire Revolution 1500 watt amp would suit you nicely.

They have a lot of high quality stuff.

I am looking at a set of subs to go with a alpine 1200w amp.
I like those kickers and yes they do pound but they still do not reach the deep deep bass. Im gonna go with alpine type-r's. They rock the house, no joke.

Solos arent bad at all, but its all up to you. If you try em and dont like em, change, if not it should be a killer setup. Also dont let anyone talk you out of those 500.2s very underrated and excellent sq and wonderful quality!

a friend of mine is runnin a PG 1200.1 amp to a set of 400 watt pioneer 10's... it pounds real hard... i was sitting 15 feet away and i could feel the bass through the pavement... this same guy smoked 3 eclipse subs at a DB comp! it was fun... he made it for round one... not 2
GOTTA LOVE PG amps!

My friend has two 12' round solobarics on a phonix gold amp and i am impressed hands down with the sound quality. The amp has a lot to do with how people say the sub performs and as i said before i would have bought the PG if i didnt get all the Memphis at cost. And i was trying to keep the cost down due to the theft.

jbl 1200.1 is a great amp but its a current hog... youd need to upgrade ur alt and battery, it eats 60a alternators
