That I buy another Honda !!!!!

Meet the newest addition to the family. Its a 2 seater, its all aluminum, its 100% made in the same factory as the Acura NSX, its rare, Its the awesome 70MPG Honda Insight.

Now here is the whole Honda family. I still do have a 2006 Mazda 5 that we are trying to sell, but once its gone we are just Honda. I don't know what it is about Hondas and me. They seem to just be the only cars that I actually like to own, or worth keeping, and actually last.

The insight is my daily driver now and I will save over $2,000 a year in gas. I can put that money toward making the 3gee awesome instead of giving $$ to the gas stations every week.

the 3gee is still sexier!

I seen an insight with a k24/k20 and it made fast passes on the 1/4 mile

I'm jelly! I was considering buying one because I had a long commute. It would have paid for it self in gas savings, and I would have had a free Honda.

Yes it is paying for itself. Now that i have owned this car for about a year its more amazing than I initially thought, really fun to drive. The engineering that went into it is really amazing. I don't quite get 70mpg because I have a lead foot. I always accelerate faster than everybody else and a lot of people race me because of it. I love on-ramps, passing cars right after you enter the highway. It makes a lot of fast car owners upset when i pass, then they floor it to get ahead.

Recently i took a trip from Fort Wayne, IN to Detroit. 300mile round trip. Speeds where between 70mph and 90mph the whole way there and back. Got 65mpg on the trip.

Notice anything different in the pic above?

8" JL sub in the back under the battery compartment so its not taking up any trunk space, included with the car purchase.

This amp is mounted under the passenger seat with a custom aluminum plate, also included with the car purchase. Someone put some serious dollars into this audio setup and it sounds great.

I drive less than two miles to work. I should be in a hybrid. The short commute is killing my gas mileage.

So those wheels are from my LXI parts car I got a long time ago. I needed winter snow tires for the Insight since its so light. I spent a long time looking for spare wheels then i realized that i had the LXI wheels in the garage and what do you know. They are the exact same size and offset as the insight with the exception of weight. Those accord wheels are heavy but they are free so i cleaned them up. They had so much brake dust on them, i dont think they had been cleaned in literally 15 years of driving. I tried all kinds of things to clean them, wheel cleaner, power washing, nothing even made a dent. Then i tried Easy Off Oven Cleaner (yellow can) and it started to come off. Used two cans to get all 4 wheels inside and out, it still took a lot of scrubbing but it worked. Then did a light sand and put a coat of gray wheel paint and clear on them. They look great and you would never know they were completely black before.
