ok, heres the info, the front in rear convershion is off a 2000 prelude. the paint is a pearl sky blue. the pictures do not do the paint job justice. it looks hot at night when the light hits it. the convershion cost me $3500 for the front and back, paint of car and jams, puts fixes for a dent in the rear qurter, the common rust spots, elimination of door handles, side moldings, and antenna. it took about 9 months to finish cuz my shop took there time. to mare the light fits they had to cut out the lighting part of my raidator support and weld in the part for the 2000 prelude. the back was custon fabricated that the hood was modifyed to come down. the guy also added a little to the hood scoop type thing. any other questions?

I think the rear looks awesome, The front looks really good too, yet there is something with the front bumper that makes it look a little off, maybe a little square. But on a hatch all and all it looks good.

jdub, i was only messing wit you, the bumper may look a lil off because its not a hatchback bumper, its a coupe bumper, they are a lil different. thanks everyone for the comments, to tel you the truth i even think the car looks funny in the pics but then you see it in person when it has the bumper lights in with the drop in the c2 it porporstions the whole car out as for the lince plate i have to lae a custom frame to go into the window

High points for the custom work. I like the rear but I've never liked the 5th gen Lude's front end so I'm not too big of a fan of it on any car. I'm sure it looks nice in person. Just curious, does having no more grill/opening on the hood affect anything (like engine temp running abit higher than normal)???

wow, hearing all of you comments have made it worth the money i spent already, i cannot wait to hit the shows, my goal is to bring home a trophy oneday, i never won a trophy for anything. at first i was gonna go with s2000 tails but everyone whgo had a set wanted too much money for them and since i was able to get the prelude tails for free and they were almost like the accord ones i went for it. as for the headlights, when the prelude first came out with those lights i thought they were the ugliest thing i had ever saw, but once you see them on a hot hooked up car they dont look that bad. about the grill i dont know, i havent been driving the car, my head is in the shop now getting some work on it. i have been thinking about getting a 2000 grill put in with a carbon fiber layover

I give you kudos for the time, money, and effort you put into it. However, to me, both the front and rear ends look out of place. I have to honestly say that it's not my style. What matters though is whether you like it or not. I have to agree with Yasu on the 5G Lude headlights. I never liked them. I will give you an A+ for effort. :D

i agree with bob. props on doing all the custom work, but it all seems out of place, especially the front. the headlights look crosseyed. i do like the color, but im not sure if it was a good choice for a car as angular as ours. in any case, you like it and its bound to win some awards for all the hard work put into it. good work!

MY time to reply. I like the Idea, but the blue--well I guess that is your color. The only part of your car that bothers me is the front grill. I would have prefered to see something there instead of the hood being molded (overextended.)

I'll take your word for it on the paintjob (low quality pics don't cut it), and the lights were done much better than the Chubbs accord.

I don't like the prelude headlight conversion though :(. Personally I'd prefer something that would match the lines of the 3rd gen. I'm thinking 2nd Gen Integra, or 2nd Gen CRX lights would look nice.

The bodywork looks very good though, and you're sure to be a very popular car @ the shows. Great job on being an example of what can be done to the Accords :D

Good stuff Vtec! I really like that car! Unlike popular opinion, I do like that color a lot. It looks good on the car. Only suggestion for that car is to either get a lip, and mold in the molding line on the bumper to make it flow better, or get an 86-87 Xenon front end. That'd look bad ass!

i have been trying to get someone to make me a crx fip like forever, i brought the suspenshion technique 2" drop springs but it dosent look like it di much. i have tokico blues on there s i am gonna cut 1.5 coils off the front and 1 coil off the back and that will bring the car down

LOL! Just get one of those high-powered magnetic plate holders like the dealerships have. Drive it to where it's gotta be, then take it back off. As long as the paint surface is clean you should not have any scratching issues either.

C'mon does t really need a bumper??? lol....It'll give the people that are behind you something to wonder about...But seriously though, down here cars with a lot of body modifications (or intercoolers where applicable), use stickers for their plates....I don't know if it possible where you are but the "license plate stickers" do look cool. My brother just put some on his ride recently. I know it's illegal but I guess some guys just don't care when it comes to looks.

The guy in NYC just screwed it to the back bumper. It didnt look to bad cause the lip on our bumper just not legal w/o the plate lights. I am still wondering how digitized got his in the bumper with the frame from the JDM Vigor when he did his tail light conversion.

I absolutely love your car, the conversion goes quite well with your hatchback. But...

Three things:
-1. Get some of those small ultra-white sidemarker lights. It will look a lot better, and it will be legal.
-2. Put your stock fog light covers back on, it looks nasty without them. White would look good, if you don't have the body-color painted ones.
-3. White windshield wipers and arms! That would look very nice.


But these are just some useless comments from some guy that you don't know. I've never even seen your car in person, so I don't know anything.

This set of pictures is better than the first one you put out. Thumbs up on the custom work. I'm not a fan of the lights, but it doesn't look so bad. It does stand out as one of the most memorable 3Gs i've seen though, and I mean that in a good way.

That's the pacesetter catback (only one available for our cars). I'd say don't get it but rather go to a muffler shop and have them custom build you a cat-back if you want.

gotchased a couple of times, once in the accord before it was painted but it was more seriousthan some side arers, i a not really worried about the side markers, ill add some later. and for those of yallwho wnt to know all 3 times i got chased i got away

honestly im not a fan of your car, never have been, its just not my style. Although i do respect the amount of work and effort that went into it. Heres my thoughts: 1st priority coilovers, lower that car more those suspension tech springs are wack. Before you got it painted you should have got the xenon kit to compliment your look. With the additions of those two things i think it would be very effective in the show scene.

i never got chased cuz the corner lights, but anyways as for my plans, the car is no finished, well it is bu i havent drove it since it came out the shop last august. i am sending it back and i am goig to put the 93 accord skyline r34kit on it, the cures of my fenders line up with hte 93 accord front bumper stlye soi dont have to worry about it not looking right. i am gonnt cut the suspenshion tech springs. i know everone hates cut springs but i have been cutting springs for a while and i know how to do it righ, my springs come out even and not all buncy and shit. plus the suspenshion tech springs will be better to cut thenstoc springs. i took off weapon r coilovers for the springs, ill never go with coil overs again.

Its some really good handy work that ive never seen on a 3rd gen but id change the color though maybe to a Sunlit Copper?

i can bump this now that the pics work again. if i get a good enough deal i am going to put the flip lights back on the front and leave the rear.


i was building a motor for it but that plan was put on hold cuz i got the new coupe. iv been putting alot of the hatch stuff on the coupe since it runs. it seems like i might give up on the hatch,. when it gets warm i am going to finish the wiring, mount the stock b18a with sidedrafts and get it running, then sell it for dirt cheap. it has no rug and i am putting the leather seats and rear disc brakes on the coupe.
