Those are Panasports. I had them on my very first Civic back in 1991. They are super light, I think they are about 13 pounds for 15s.

yeah I saw that site. Is that per set of 4 or each? I thought it was price per wheel, that's why I was saying $$$$.

That is per wheel. Compared to most wheels I buy that is insanely cheap.
I guess I am from the old school where you couldn't buy any wheels for less than $250 each. My first set of 16s cost me $2900 for the set with tires. Of course it was the first set of 16s in the state but still that was a lot back then.

I wouldn't pay that much for cast rims. They are not forged.

yeah, I agree with Jim on this one. I figured that these were light, and looked ot be good quality, but not worth almost 800 just for a set of 15" wheels w/o tires. Granted, the light weight does have it's advantages, but i'm not a big fan when it also shows weight reduction in my pocket too.

I might as well stick with the original plan of getting a set of Miata wheels (similar style to these). I mean who can ask for a better fit for our cars.

The miata wheels specs:

14x5.5
4x100 bolt pattern
45mm offset
16-17 lbs.

I can't complain about that, specially since I can pic them up for the price of 1 of the panasports.

Ok the thing about panasport rims is, you'd think that with their print ad's that all their rims are light weight. The reality is that not the case. Only a small portion of what they make can be considered light. And their is the issue that almost all of their rims are cast vs forged. I get worried when you have a cast rim that is as light weight as a forged rim. Rota's seem to have a good reputation with their cast rims, but it still worries me.

Panasport FS rim 15x6 15lbs
Panasport FC rim 14x6 14lbs
Panasport FC rim 16x7 17lbs
Panasport ULW rim 15x7 15lbs

Only the Fs lite and the C8 rims from panasport are going to be truely light weight. But a bigger problem will be offset's. They don't seem to be avaliable with high offset's 38mm look's like the highest. Rota has a established reputation for light weight rims, even though they are cast, just like most of the panasport line. Plus they are ALLOT cheaper and they can be had with the proper high offset's.

16-17lbs  That's heavy and 14"= extreamly limited tire choice and extreamly limited tire size choice's.

'90 - '93 Miata 7 spoke alloy 14"x5.5" 45mm 12.3 lb.
'97 Miata 6-spoke polished alloy ('97 M) 15" x 6" 45mm 14.52 lb.

For $450 you can get 12lbs 45mm offset rota's shipped to your door. slipstreams or subzero's. I'm really tempted by the steel grey subzero's.

umm... now that you point it out, I may have my facts mixed up. The wheel I'm talking about is the 7 spoke that was available in the earlier miata's. Is this the wheel you're thinking of that's only 12-13lbs.?

If so, I'm even happier then I was before.

I dig the steel grey Rota Attacks - they're another $50 thought. I've always been partial to gunmetal Slipstreams on a dark car.

It's still 14" though, you can get Falken Azenis sports in 195/60-14. But your not going to be able to run anything better than that.
No 205's or 215's and no competition tires. Someone had asked me about 14" and I did a bunch of reasearch. The Anenis Sport is a awesome tire, but if you want to be competitive in autocross I really think 15" is the way to go.
