I've used the search facility but I'm struggling to find the answer I'm after.

I have a box of various ALB speed sensors taken from a couple of 3Gs I've parted out.

I need to check which sensors are good and which, if any, are kaput.

Can anyone point me in the direction of any threads that may have dealt with this before or can give me a definitive answer as to how I can test them?

Thanks for any help in advance. :)

Im gonna guess that these are sensors for anti-lock brakes ? We didnt have that option as far as I know on our cars.

Just a guess you need an OHMS reading off them. There just coils. If you can trigger them fast enough they will give a low level AC signal. Like 3 volts or something like that.

Thanks for that Oldblueaccord, I didn't realise that ALB wasn't available in the US. I'll look into what reading I should be looking for on my multimeter.

The Russian *.pdf manuals have info on the ALB.
