Hello, I just wanted to pass on a personel experience I had recently with painting a valve cover with high temp paint. I had stripped off the factory black with ease and then repainted it a nice red. Then months latter I chipped the finish while taking off my header to sell. I tried to fix the chip, but chould not get it looking good enough for my taste, so I sprayed paint stripper on it,.......bad idea.

Do NOT get your self in a position where you need to strip off the high temp paint, it DOES NOT come off very well AT ALL! I just spent several hours spot sanding the outer color coat and the under coat off. Had I know I would have throw the dang thing away, way to much work  Adding to my misery their was allot of place's that were really tuff to get to with sand paper. Next time I'll spend $18 to get another cover from the junk yard, cause the factory paint melt's right off with the striper, but not high temp paint.
