Squeaking front axle?

I've noticed that my driver's side axle makes a shrill squeaking sound the first 10 minutes after I start my car and start moving. It doesn't squeak when I'm turning, just when the car is rolling. I'm thinking the CV might be starting to go, but maybe it's the brakes?

im thinkin brakes, my car did it worst when i had crap brakes on it. It would squeek loud just going like a few mph

That's what I'm thinking, but it only happens the first few minutes my car is running, and only when it's rolling, even in neutral. I hope its just the brakes, that I can upgrade anyways.

i don't think the C.V joint will make squeeking sound ! my bet is on the brakes too ! try using a brake cleaner !

Yeah, I did some poking about, and it seems that my front pads are low. I'm thinking of getting the LX-i/SE-i upgrade, and new rotors and pads in one fell swoop.
