Beating a dead horse - A/T cooler

89 LX-i Coupe A/T

I'm planning/hoping to change my radiator soon. Most likely I'll remove my A/C condenser at the same time. I'd like to add in a transmission cooler. I was wondering, from everyone that's done this, where have you located the cooler?

I was planning (especially if I remove the condenser) to mount it in front of the radiator. However, if there's a more protected location that works just as well, I'd rather put it there.

I'd skip it altogether. There is a cooler in the radiator already and these ATs will go for 300k miles as-is. Unless you're pulling a trailer, you're unlikely to make a meaningful difference in the life of the trans with a cooler.
