Well, i think my car has to go... i dont want to shell out 1,700 bucks for a new tranny... and my last resort is changing the fluid... but it isnt looking too good.... so my car's probably on it's way out.

Thinking of staying with the Honda Accord trend, instead of going off to the MR2, (because i like FWD), my NEW obsession is...
TA DA!... 1998 Honda Accord V6 (or 4 cyl) Coupe. I found 2 on e-bay, one customized, one bone stock... they are both $5k and $7k and both have 70k on them.

I think theyre pretty sweet... and you dont see to many of those customized.

Ba humbug this country and it's "automatic" love. Looks like honda is pushing back the intro date of the 2003 accord coupe v6 6-sp. Dealer told me Feb-March.

ok just to let you know. ambers car had a bunk tranny. we picked one up for $75 and were driving again the next day! :)

total spent was less than $400 and we got new:
5 speed transmission from 86lxi 160k on it
clutch
pressure plate
throwout bearing
CV boot
transmission seals

and all that stuff is HONDA, not like NAPA shit.. :) so maybe you dont need to go out and spend a lot of money...

plus, i wouldnt consider anything so drastic since you havent even tried changing the fluid...

lol amber old laser did the same shit... turns out she was like 1.5 quarts low! :( ew topped it off and it was fine!

the junkyard is usually a good place to look, they get them off of other accords..., so they're genuine Honda
