So here goes. I searched and searched around the forums and Google to no avail. When I first start my car in the morning, or after the car has sat and completely cooled down. It fires right up with no issues. The tach bounces a little like any manual car, it goes vroom. Yay. No big deal. But after I've driven the car or it has been warmed up, when I try to start it it sounds like the starter is having a hard time turning the engine over, and the tach is jumping all the way up to like 6 grand and back to zero as it slowly cranks. Any of y'all had this problem before?

A hopping tach points to ICM failure. There is a test for it on p. 24-9 of the manual. Test it when it is hot and failing.

Turns out it was a loose connection with the starter solenoid wire
