Hey guys, my name is Terry and im 26, i live in Cape Cod MA. Im a detailer and a half decent mechanic and can do light body work like small dent repair, minor rust repair, and painting. I just got my first japanese car ever. Its an 88 Honda Accord. Ive owned nothing but Camaros since i could drive. My last one was an 89. It was beautiful but due to other priorities i had to sell it.

This car i got for a solid $200 through a friend. From what ive gathered its an A20 series motor? Its a 5 speed carberated, has rot here and there, and runs a bit rough.

I have two paths im thinking of taking. First is to put a few hundred into it and just drive it into the ground. The other idea is to put a few thousand into it, do body work, clean it up nice, lower the hell out of it, and put some nice rims on it.

I havnt decided yet but at the least i need to figure out why its running rough, and keep it running until spring. Hopefully you guys can help and hopefully i can provide help in areas of my own skills.

Welcome to the board. These cars have a way of growing on you, so be prepared to fall in love.

The rough running is hard to diagnose without knowing anything about the car. It could be as simple as a tune up or as bad as a new engine. Start another thread and give us all the relevant details and anything you think is important.
