I just passed 29 years owning this 86 Accord LXi. Been the best car I have ever owned but the Illinois winters are taking their toll. Probably the last year I will be able to drive it since it is due for restoration. It has 210,000 plus on it with an automatic.7205 7206

Looks pretty good. Are you planning a restoration?

I wish I could but I am not equipped nor have the knowledge to do a good job. I think the best I will be able to do is sell it just above scrap when the time or right person that wants to restore a Honda comes along. I have tried to keep it up the best I could over the years. Engine runs great, transmission, not so. Even though it was serviced regularly it has gotten to the point it needs overhauling as I no longer use reverse or 4th gear in it. I had a 83 VT750 I used to ride in the summers so this car mostly sat in the garage and never got sun faded.

That's kinda the problem with Hondas. Because parts are so difficult to source, only Jay Leno is really equipped to restore one.
