Yeah hope this never happens to me cause the other driver better run. I think he was fine this accident was a while ago maybe 1-2 yrs ago. The rims went perfect with his car which is always in someones mind when they buy rims and it was a perfect setup.

Hope you got compensated real good-Such a shame of what happend to a nice looking 3g.

What size where the rims/wheel setup (they looked real good) and was the car lowered (if so what springs / coilovers?)

I'm pretty pissed myself that it went out like that, just makes you appreciate what you got!

It was involved in a highway accident maybe a little over two years ago. During rush hour traffic, a lady 2 cars ahead of me decided to slam on her brakes, so the guy in front of me hit her, I hit him and guy behind me hit me. The thing was, after I hit the person in front of me, I was stopped so then I started cursing at the top of my lungs, then about 5 seconds later..WACK...I get nailed from behind which kind of gave me whiplash, but the toughguy that I am, pulled through :D This is without airbags too, so this car was engineered perfectly from my experience. I was the only car that didn't drive off from the scene.

I got about $1,900 at the time, so looking for a car that I needed without much cash was tough. Fixing it wasn't even an option. The thing was in mint condition, but 188,000 miles, so I got jack for it. I ended up getting a 95 Accord which is much more fun to buy stuff for since the parts are unlimited, but my wallet isn't! I admit the 88 was much better than my 95 in all aspects except power. Handling is what I miss the most, that thing just felt sportier.

It had tokico shocks with ground-control coilovers, maybe a 2" drop in that picture. I later dropped it another inch and a half, and about a month before that accident I decided to look at my front tires. They were worn down to the absolute nothing, that's why the front wheels weren't on in that picture. I think a camber kit was needed, eh? The wheels were 16" Millie Miglia spyders with I forget what brand and size tires....

Sorry for the long post! I'm always hanging around here being envious of your cars, I want a 3G so bad, 5th Gens are nice, but not as fun when everyone and thier mother (literally), has them.

THanks for the info-

Was the the ride better or worse than the Oem/strut/spring setup? -Im looking to drop mine -I hate how I have about 3inches or more of fender gap-I really liked how yours looked -
How long did your tires last with the new setup? And was alignment a issue?
