can't you cut out the wheel bace or something like that and then they meight fit. don't know though 17's or 18's have always been my size no matter what. but that would be sick if you put some 19's on a 89, as lond as they look good and its done right.

18s fit fine, and 19s can be done with some modification. I dont recommend rims that large on a 3g, unless it is hammered to the ground they just dont look right. And with the lack of power the 3g has, your going to lose a big performance chunk with them.

I have 18's on my 3g now and the ride really sucks. Also, Nate is right about it zapping your power. I took them off a few weeks back and put on my stock tires and it felt like a new car. I then made the decision to start looking for some lightweight 17's. I have grown to hate them now! They look like a million bucks, but ride like 15 cents!:D

19s will fit but you might need to notch spindle arm a little bit with a grinder depending on offset. You won't be able to go very low in the front without cutting some of the inner fenderwell out. I like big wheels but only if the car is just as low as it would be with 16s or 17s. Cars look stupid if they have big wheels and they aren't low enough. Stick with 17s or 18s unless you have air.

19 would look so bad on a 3g. 18's will look like shit if your car is not slamed. I had a set of Chrome 17's on my car a while ago and they were sooooo getto!!! It raised the car like a inch higher off the ground and it just looked so bad. The rims lookgreat on a car thats lowered or even just a car besides the 3g. Here are the pics. Now I have 16 inch enkei cdr9's with Kumho tires 205/45 and they are great. I got all of my acceleration back.

i like big rims, and flip faced decks, trunks full of beat, back seats full of teks....

but damn man 19s would be too much. My shit is slow as a mofo wit these blades. Plus you wouldnt be able to get rid of all the fender gap and that would look dumb

i'm thinking of just sticking with the 18's and they have to be chrome. i love chrome. 19 might be to jiggy. i'm puting the car on coilovers to begin with but i might be switching to rods
