[5 Speed Speeder]

I whip 'er, I beat 'er...I'm the five speed speeder.

Hey everybody. About a month or two ago I bought an 88 lxi off craigslist for 700 bucks. She's beige with two doors and a notchback. Got 307,000 miles as of last night. Drove her from florida to virginia last week, and come summer I will be driving her from florida to alaska. My previous love was a 97 civic(five speed of course). From august of 14 to november of 15 she took me 40,000 miles. From coast to coast and lots of places in between. She's in remission for now. I think I'm falling in love with this 88 a20a3. All that torque..the dual runner intake...its beautiful. My shifter bushing is shot and fifth gear whines...my suspension makes a lot of noise too but this enhine sounds beautiful. Previous owner said it was rebuilt 15,000 miles ago and I believe them.....

Don't feel like typing much more but I'm the five speed speeder, I'm from florida and I love driving in the mountains

welcome to the site. Our a20 transmissions have small oil passages and 5th gear tends to burn out with out the proper oil level. Most people that rebuild drill out the passage to minimize the oil starvation. For shifter bushings you can pick up a set of polyurethane bushings from autozone or Amazon. for suspension it can be old ball joints or just worn out bushings too. sounds like a fun car and they are really great with simple maintenance

I believe your car is identical to mine, or was when they were new. My bumper moldings had the same chalky color on the "black" bar that I see on your. I painted that part of the bumper moldings and the side moldings. Made it look better.

it was taken in southern virginia. i've lived in gainesville for 23 years and i've never seen snow here.
