Head Bolts

Do the head bolts for our cars stretch? I'm doing a head gasket on my 1989 LX and none of my local stores stock head bolts for this car. Honda charges $120 for a new set, but I can't afford to spend that much. I read an old thread on here that said they can be reused but I just want to make sure. The thread mentioned something about inspecting the bolts; how do you inspect the head bolts?

our bolts are not the stretching kind, so you can reuse them.
