Hard shift from second to third

I have a 1988 accord lx auto it revs high when it shifts from second to third. Is there any adjustment or does it need to be rebuilt?

Probably needs to be rebuilt, but you can ameliorate things to some degree by playing with the TV cable. See p. 15-90 of the 89 USDM manual for instructions on correct procedure, then play with it until you get the best results for your situation.
